Prayer Group

All through the Bible we are called to pray. What is prayer? Prayer is communicating with God and building a relationship with God. It is through prayer we ask for forgiveness, give thanks, bring our needs before Him and Praise God. There is also intercession in prayer where we pray on behalf of others and Spiritual Warfare.

"Lord, teach us to pray." –Luke 11:1

The prayer group meets the first and third Sundays of the month after the 10:30 service. They gather to learn, share prayer needs, share spiritual journeys, and share praise reports. All members are invited to come.

If you are in need of prayer you can contact the church, fill out a prayer form found in the narthax (back of the church) or contact someone in the prayer group.

“Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
~Matthew 26:41

I call on you, my God, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer.
~Psalm 17:6

Ruth Chapter of the Daughters of the King

Several members of the prayer group are members of DOK.

The Ruth Chapter of the Daughters of the King was formed in 1990.  DOK is a national Episcopal organization with local chapters.  The purpose of the DOK is threefold: Prayer, Service, and Evangelism.

If you or someone in your family needs prayer, or if you have other needs that we can help with, that's what we are about.  We are also available on Sunday for altar prayers.
